  • Vinciane and Benoît bought a magnificent piece of land near Lake Nick. Their ecological home is a coherent reflection of their values and their lifestyle.

Before this new construction, Vinciane and Benoît lived in a large home with an ancestral charm. Their new home was tailor-made to evolve with their needs: it is a home for two people to live in daily, but at the same time being big enough to welcome family and friends.

The land was particularly suitable for a south orientation and this made for an extremely efficient bioclimatic house. Not to mention the wonderful playground it offers for gardening!

Throughout the home, ergonomics and circulation were given great attention.

The kitchen is a central element since the vegetable garden, the harvests and the processing are part the owners’ lifestyle. A shed, which also serves as a henhouse, was built nearby.

In addition to solar power, which is the primary source of heating, and the home’s high-energy efficiency, a small wood stove and a few electric baseboards were added to further increase the thermal comfort in the house.

Vinciane and Benoît particularly love the abundant light as well as the play on volumes, the fireplace, the reading corner... All of it creates an inspiring place to live in.
